Personal service as plug-and-play

At RN Solutions, personal service is a plug-and-play product, when the lighting manufacturer together with the electrical installer designs offers for customers in agriculture.

The market for smart lighting is developing quickly and there are big savings to be had. In agriculture, things are not going so fast yet, although there are some that have seen the light in recent years. But RN Solutions is working to do something about it, and the driver is a focus on personal service, where the lighting manufacturer takes the electrical installer on the customer journey, from customer visits and quotations to installation. The installers are busy and therefore there is not much time left over for sales, that's where we can step in and lend a helping hand, says the sales and marketing director at RN Solutions, Anna Charlotta Lindström Nielsen.

-They are out to install, so they just don't get it done in a busy everyday life. It works in the way that RN Solutions does all the processing, and the installer sends out the material on their behalf, explains Anna Charlotta Lindström Nielsen.

At RN Solutions, you produce brochures and offer material on the partner's paper and with their graphics, while RN Solutions is only mentioned in a corner of the material. The reason for the great effort to service the electricity industry is that in reality it is often the electrical installer who, with good cooperation with the farmer, is the sparring partner who has the greatest influence on the choice of new electrical solutions for the barn, and therefore Anna Charlotta sees Lindström Nielsen common sense in delivering a commercial plug-and-play solution.

-We make everything ready for them. We also create the email text, which they can correct, and then we send out the ready-to-use material to the installers, who then forward the material to the targeted customers. Then they don't have to do it themselves, and we reach the customers who need energy optimization and who are looking for our solutions, explains Anna Charlotta Lindström Nielsen.

When the material has been sent to the customer, it is also RN Solutions who follow up with emails and phone calls, and they do this because the close cooperation with the electrical installers brings benefits for one simple reason.

-The electrician knows exactly who needs energy optimization and who has old lighting. So we must not spend unnecessary focus on going after customers who are not in the target group. So we have a really good hit rate. The electrical installer finds the customer, and we do all the processing, and it is a personal service that is in demand, concludes Anna Charlotta Lindström Nielsen.

Targeted at the electrical installer
RN Solutions has already been around with its concept for 25 electrical installers, and here it has been well received, as the preparation of the offer material is often on hold.

-The electrical installers are far too busy now driving around and installing for them to have time to cultivate new projects. If the construction comes to a standstill, then all parties will have a problem next year, and here we can go hand in hand, says the sales and marketing director, who explains how easy it is as an electrical installer to get started with the collaboration with RN Solutions.

-We are coming up with a targeted campaign for the electrical installer. He doesn't have to do anything else, other than to find 5-10 customers, and then he has to forward our material to them. And then we go out, together with the electrical installer, and make the offer, the lighting calculation and the financial calculation for the farmer, says Anna Charlotta Lindström Nielsen.

- In a time when there is a great focus on energy saving and high electricity prices , it is a campaign initiative that also benefits all parties, and in the end in particular for the farmer.

Quick installation with Plug-and-play
It is not only the service that is in a class of its own in the light manufacturer's range, because both the plug-and-play light sources and the light control are in the smart lighting category, and for the electrical installer, it is not unimportant that plug-and-play solutions provide a higher coverage contribution per employee, because the installation is very fast.

-With our Plug-and-play solution, the electrical installer typically saves two-thirds of the installation time; cables must not be stripped and cables must not be pulled and fitted very precisely. When you get a regular fixture, you have to unpack and assemble it. Our products are ready-made solutions that are set up with clips, and then you put cables at both ends, concludes Anna Charlotta Lindström Nielsen.

There can also be a lot of savings for the customer, because by switching to LED solutions from RN Solutions, the farmer can typically save 50-60 percent of the electricity bill, and by installing lighting control, the power consumption can the barn, according to Anna Charlotta Lindström Nielsen, is further reduced by 50 percent. Overall, this means that the farmer will be able to achieve a reduction in power consumption of 70-80 percent compared to old lamps.
