Ordinary lighting fixtures are often not approved for agriculture because ammonia from animal husbandry irritates the electronics. But there are also other practical conditions that apply on a farm, and therefore it is important that the lighting in the barn can cope with the must.

Keep the light in good condition
In order to get the greatest possible benefit from a stable and electricity-saving light source, such as the LED lighting from RN Solutions, the cleaning and placement of the light sources must be in order, and our consultants can help to get the solutions implemented as best as possible.
However, there is always a number of advice that you can use, which can help with the light in all stables.
1. Clean the fixtures at regular intervals and take advantage of the opportunity to replace defective components.
All too often we see that you never get to change the light source or clean the fixture, and this can cause up to 30-50 percent of the light to be lost - but even minor light reduction can have negative effects on animal welfare; so it is a matter of getting the servicing of the light into the system, and this should preferably happen once a month.
2. Correct mounting provides the best light and makes servicing easy.
It is rarely smart to mount the light sources directly in the ceiling. By mounting the luminaires in stainless wires that hang down from the ceiling, it is much easier to service and wash the light sources.
3. Light control and timers benefit both animal welfare and the economy.
It is important to use a timer, sensor or other form of light control, so that the light is not on more than necessary, and so that the light intensity is adapted to the animals' circadian rhythm.
