Colored LED lights promote the growth of chickens at Rokkedahl

RN Solutions are distributors of the full-spectrum color light LED system from Once by Signify, specially adapted to promote growth and animal welfare in poultry flocks
At Rokkedahl Landbrug, the color light system is installed in eight stables, and now the light is also part of the range at Rokkedahl Energi.
Full-spectrum color light has a documented positive effect on poultry, as the intelligent lighting reduces stress, promotes growth and increases animal welfare, among other things. At RN Solutions ApS, they specialize in durable LED solutions for agriculture that save energy at the same time as productivity increases when the light awakens the hens' clock instincts.
– Chickens originally came from Southeast Asia, where they sought shelter and hiding under the green leaves of the jungle. Therefore, poultry still associate the green light with security. With our light, you bring nature's own dynamism into the poultry house, says Rune Nielsen, director of RN Solutions.
The core of the new system is a light recipe control and wireless technology in the lamps, which makes it possible to establish fully dynamic circadian rhythms which are adapted to follow the chicken's growth. A system that can be controlled either wirelessly via an App or via a stable computer.

Easy assembly
At Rokkedahl Landbrug in Kølby between Løgstør and Nibe, poultry has been produced on a large scale since 1963, and here there is a great focus on animal welfare and sustainability throughout production, and with the latest solutions from RN Solutions, Jacob Poulsen, production manager for live animals at Rokkedahl Landbrug, can regulate the light so that the animals get as much natural light as possible and so that the animals feel safe.
– The fact that we can regulate the light so that we can move around the animals without them actually noticing is absolutely fantastic. Control via APP is of course also a huge plus, explains Jacob Poulsen about the new lighting system, which paved the way for a new collaboration between RN Solutions and Rokkedahl Energi regarding setting up the Nature Dynamics Dome system, which uses Phillips special lights for poultry production: Once by Signify.
At Rokkedahl Energi, one quickly saw the advantages of the special light developed for broilers and live chickens, and a light that can withstand disinfection, high-pressure cleaning and the corrosive exposure to dust and ammonia.
- Technically, it is easy to install and it does not necessarily require an electrician to replace a lamp. The first experiences from our first project at Rokkedahl Landbrug are positive, says Jesper Toft Jensen, Technical Manager and co-owner of Rokkedahl Energi.
