ECONOMIC SAVINGS AND BETTER WORK ENVIRONMENT
Director of Emborg Catering, Søren Mernild: “We have previously had challenges with the durability of lighting in our freezer storage. We are pleased that, together with our electrician, we found RN Solutions and these frost-resistant fixtures; they can withstand very low temperatures. And they provide good lighting.

I am very pleased with the new, improved lighting in the warehouse. The process has been efficient—with an excellent final result," says Ronnie Kristensen, director of the wood pellet manufacturer Ekman Denmark.

UV light
What types are available:
- UV-A light helps regulate behaviors such as feeding, circadian rhythms, mating, and similar activities for reptiles, rabbits, lizards, and birds, such as poultry.
- UV-B light enables the synthesis of vitamin D (D3), which aids in calcium absorption.
- UV-C light is not necessary for animals, but it can help kill bacteria (disinfection). - It is important to note that, at high levels of exposure, this light can be harmful to animals and humans.

UV-A light
Applications and benefits for poultry and birds
UV-A light, with wavelengths between 315-400 nanometers, plays an important role in poultry and bird care. It is part of natural sunlight and has several beneficial effects on the health and behavior of birds.
Benefits of UV-A light for poultry and birds
-
Enhanced Vision:
- Birds have an additional type of photoreceptor in their eyes, enabling them to see UV-A light. This improves their ability to find food, recognize mates, and navigate their environment. -
Stimulation of Natural Behavior:
- UV-A light helps promote natural behaviors such as preening, foraging, and social interaction. This can lead to increased well-being and reduced stress in birds. -
Increased Vitamin D Production:
Although vitamin D is primarily produced through UV-B light, UV-A light can also contribute to overall light exposure, promoting healthy bone growth and immune function. -
Improved Reproductive Health:
UV-A light can enhance reproductive health by stimulating hormone production, which can lead to higher fertility and healthier offspring.
