Von einer Idee auf einer Europareise zum globalen Erfolg mit Fokus auf Produktivität und Energieeinsparungen in der Landwirtschaft
RN Solutions wurde 2013/2014 vom Direktor und Landwirt Rune Q. Nielsen gegründet und hat sich seitdem einen Namen als Vorreiter bei der Entwicklung von Energieeinsparungen in der Schweineproduktion und Landwirtschaft gemacht. Von Anfang an war RN Solutions der Meinung, dass man mit ein wenig nordjütländischem „Einfallsreichtum“ und einem Geschäftsmodell, das sich auf Produktivität statt auf Investitionen konzentriert, auf globaler Ebene erfolgreich sein kann.
Die Idee for RN Solutions entstand, als Rune während einer Reise nach Europa feststellte, dass in einigen Ländern die Sauen auf den Koppeln überleuchtet waren und dies die Fortpflanzung der Sauen verbessert hatte. Rune dachte, dass es noch besser gehen könnte, und so entstand das Beleuchtungskonzept SowLight, bei dem LED-Leuchten über spezielle Anschlüsse einfach direkt an der Leuchte montiert werden können.
SowLight erfreute sich schnell großer Beliebtheit Landwirte in Dänemark, da sie die Leuchten mit Plug'N Play™-Kabeln selbst installieren konnten. Das Konzept entwickelte sich schnell und umfasste auch andere Stalltypen in der Schweineproduktion sowie für Rinder, Geflügel, Werkstätten und Baustellen.
Heute sind die Beleuchtungskonzepte von RN Solutions in über 20 Ländern weltweit zu finden, und das SowLight-Konzept beleuchtet mittlerweile über 1 Million Seen. RN Solutions hat 2017 außerdem eine eigene Produktion in China aufgebaut, um eine einheitliche Qualität, eine stabile Produktion und eine schnelle Entwicklung neuer Produkte sicherzustellen.
Alle Beleuchtungsprodukte von RN Solutions sind langlebig, haben ein gutes Licht, sind einfach zu installieren und haben angemessene Preise. Die überwiegende Mehrheit der Produkte kann auch in rauen Umgebungen wie Stallgebäuden und der Lebensmittelindustrie eingesetzt werden, ist äußerst leicht zu reinigen und für den Verkauf in Europa, China und Nordamerika zertifiziert.
RN Solutions liefert sowohl direkt an Landwirte und Kunden, als auch an Elektroinstallateure und Einzelhändler. Das Sortiment umfasst sowohl Beleuchtungsprodukte zur Selbstmontage als auch zur dauerhaften Installation durch Profis.
Heute besteht RN Solutions aus acht Mitarbeitern, von denen der Großteil am Hauptsitz in Støvring beschäftigt ist und ein kleinerer Teil in der Produktion in China tätig ist.

Own products
RN Solutions has developed a large number of its own products from scratch at the company's address in Støvring, but it also sells the Phillips product ONCE by Signify, which is among the market's best-known solutions for poultry houses.

-We are very specialized in controlling the light within agriculture, and here we can be an important player for the local electrical installer, who typically does not have the detailed knowledge of how the right light can optimize production in the stables, explains Rune Qvist Nielsen about the reason for the employment of Jacob Michaelsen, who will primarily be responsible for sales and advice in Central Jutland, North Jutland and Funen.

Five-year warranty
Ordinary lighting fixtures are often not approved for agriculture because ammonia from animal husbandry irritates the electronics - even if the fixture is tight. But there are also other practical conditions that apply to a farm, which is why director Rune Qvist Nielsen's own experiences as a farmer play an important role in the development of the smart lighting.
For if there is anything that life as a pig producer has taught Rune Qvist Nielsen, it is that the light source in the barn must be robust, so in the products from RN Solutions, the electronics have been given a special coating and the fixtures have the highest tightness class, and therefore Jacob Michaelsen is completely comfortable selling the lighting solutions with a full 5-year guarantee
-Our products are specially made to be able to withstand the stable environment and for harsh industry, and most LED fittings are IP69K-approved, and they are because our products have been created to be able to cope with a harsh environment with both ammonia and cleaning with a high-pressure cleaner, explains Jacob Michaelsen.
